Dr. Sreeja Nag Awarded “Best Presentation” at Latin American Symposium on Small Satellites

On March 10, 2017, Dr. Sreeja Nag was acknowledged for having delivered the Best Paper/Presentation at the International Academy of Astronautics Latin American Symposium on Small Satellites in Buenos Aries, Argentina. Dr. Nag’s paper addressed the concept of sensor webs of agile, small satellite constellations and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (“UAVs”) connected by Satellite-to-Air Communication Links.

Dr. Susan Kulawik to Play Role in Upcoming Satellite Mission to Study Greenhouse Gasses

BAER’s Senior Scientist Dr. Susan Kulawik will be co-Investigator on a new NASA satellite-based mission called the Geostationary Carbon Cycle Observatory, or GeoCARB. The mission, which, is expected to launch in 2022 as a hosted payload in on a commercial communications satellite, will remain in geostationary orbit over the western hemisphere
