Alejandro S. Borlaff and Research Team Discover Tipped-Over Black Hole

Lead author, BAERI’s Alejandro S. Borlaff, and a team of researchers devised image-analysis techniques that led to the discovery of a massive “tipped over” black hole. The group used archival data from several telescopes around the world, beginning with NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory. Their findings were published on December 18 in the Astrophysical Journal.
