In November 2020, NASA awarded a grant to Ann Marie Cody and Steve Croft, a radio astronomer and a leader of the Breakthrough Listen project at the Berkeley SETI Research Center, to use TESS data to survey the sky for anomalous objects that transit across stars.

It is possible, however uncertain, that they and their collaborators will find signs of artificial alien megastructures.

Vice published a story last month about the project. Read the full Vice story here.
